Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the United States. She is the owner and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California, grew up with an affluent life. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in real estate who eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Sports and Entertainment. The emotional strain she felt was exacerbated as her parents divorced in the year 1972. When she was 19 years old she was able to take over the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as their General Manager. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She served as the president of the Great Western Forum, before becoming Vice president of the Lakers. Buss and her siblings, five sisters and brothers, as well as their father who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder until his passing away in 2013, received this ownership through the trust. The five siblings were entitled to equally voting rights. Buss was elected president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-owner of Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its the headquarters located in Los Angeles.
